Zaha scored twice against Manchester United on Saturday to down his former club and make it two wins from two for Palace this season.
The 27-year-old is arguably the most talented player outside the top six and has made it clear he wants to move on if a bigger club come calling.
Speaking to talkSPORT on Monday, Hodgson expressed his hope that Zaha will stay at Selhurst Park but accepts he could go if the right offer comes in.
Hodgson told the Jim White show: "He is under contract, he is not on the transfer list and we don't want to sell him.
"But of course I would be naive to say a situation where the club doesn't want to sell doesn't mean you don't get offers which are going to cause you some problems.
"At the moment, that hasn't happened so I will continue to enjoy having him available."
Asked what chance there is Zaha will still be at Palace after the transfer window
"I'm a realist and I realise that if a club comes in and pays what the club thinks he is worth and he desperately wants to go, it will be hard for us to keep him. But until that day comes, there is no point in me speculating.
can even hope that because Wilf is a
Palace man through and through that he
will see a team that could be getting better and looking to go forward and maybe he will accept that staying here isn't quite that bad."
Zaha has been linked with numerous clubs in recent seasons and came close to joining Arsenal in 2019.
Everton and Borussia Dortmund have been talked about as potential suitors this summer.
