Popular Japanese actress Yuko Takeuchi is dead at the age of 40.

The award-winning star was found dead by her actor husband Taiki Nakabayashi at their home in Shibuya Ward on Sunday, September 27.

She was confirmed dead at a hospital

According to The Japan Times , the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department has launched an investigation surrounding Takeuchi's death although local authorities suspect the star took her own life. A suicide letter hasn't been discovered.

"It came all of a sudden, and we are all stunned and saddened by the news," her talent agency, Stardust Promotion Inc., said in a statement to the local paper.

Takeuchi made her feature film debut in the 1996 drama Cyborg.

Ms Takeuchi was popular in Japan, known for the 1998 horror film Ringu which was adapted by Hollywood as The Ring.

She starred in Japanese shows such as Romance and Pride, Miss

Sherlock, Queen, Innocent Days and others. She also appeared in Japanese films like Midnight Eagle, Cape

Nostalgia, The Magnificient Nine, and more.

Her last film project was the comedy The Confidence Man JP: Princess, which was released in July 2020.

Takeuchi was nominated for the

Japanese Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role three years in a row.

 

She was a mother to two children and shared a son with her ex-husband, Nakamura Shido.

She welcomed a baby boy earlier this year with Taiki.

Although suicide has not been confirmed in Ms Takeuchi's case, it has been the cause of death for a number of

Japanese talents recently, including the actress Sei Ashina earlier this month, actor Haruma Miura in July and wrestling star Hana Kimura in May.

PIRLO'S NEW LOOK JUVE FACE ROMA CHALLENGE.

 

Andrea Pirlo's new-look Juventus face their first major test this season on Sunday when the Serie A champions tackle Roma.

Juventus kicked off their bid for a 1 0th consecutive league title with a 3-0 win over Sampdoria to hand Pirlo a win in his first-ever match on the bench.

But the 41 -year-old will face a difficult second weekend in the Stadio Olimpico against a Roma side still smarting after being handed an opening round defeat at Verona for fielding an unregistered player.

Since arriving last month Pirlo has brought in younger players such as defender Arthur and US midfielder Weston McKennie, with veterans including Miralem Pjanic, Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi leaving.

Swedish debutant Dejan Kulusevski got the champions off the mark with his debut goal for the club, and this week Spanish striker Alvaro Morata rejoined Juventus where he played with Pirlo from 2014-2016.

There has also been a movement among the backroom staff with former Juventus goalkeeper Marco Storari this week joining the setup with the role of developing new talents.

Scudetti, two Italian Super Cups and an Italian Cup.

ARREST OVER RICIN ENVELOPE ADDRESSED WHITE HOUSE.

 US authorities confirmed an arrest

Sunday over an envelope addressed to President Donald Trump that contained a substance identified as the poison ricin.

The suspect was a woman who was carrying a gun when she was arrested by authorities, according to US media reports.

US media reported Saturday that authorities had intercepted an envelope laced with ricin addressed to Trump.

The letter was discovered earlier last week and did not reach the White House, according to The New York Times and CNN.

The Times said it was believed that the letter was mailed from Canada.

WILL WILFRED ZAHA LEAVES CRYSTAL PALACE THIS SUMMER??

 Roy Hodgson has 'no idea' if Wilfried Zaha will still be at Crystal Palace beyond this transfer window.

Zaha scored twice against Manchester United on Saturday to down his former club and make it two wins from two for Palace this season.

 

The 27-year-old is arguably the most talented player outside the top six and has made it clear he wants to move on if a bigger club come calling.

Speaking to talkSPORT on Monday, Hodgson expressed his hope that Zaha will stay at Selhurst Park but accepts he could go if the right offer comes in.

Hodgson told the Jim White show: "He is under contract, he is not on the transfer list and we don't want to sell him.

"But of course I would be naive to say a situation where the club doesn't want to sell doesn't mean you don't get offers which are going to cause you some problems.

"At the moment, that hasn't happened so I will continue to enjoy having him available."

GODWIN OBASEKI DECLARED WINNER IN EDO STATE.

 A massive crowd of supporters stormed the airport to welcome Governor Nyesom Wike back to Rivers State after he led the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to victory in Edo State.

Wike is the Chairman of the PDP National Campaign Council for the Edo Governorship election which held on Saturday, 19th September 2020.

The PDP candidate, Godwin Obaseki , polled 307,955 votes to defeat all other candidates and was declared the winner by INEC’s Returning Officer, Prof. Akpofure Rim-Rukeh.

After leading his party to victory in Edo State, Wike returned to his home state on Sunday and had a rousing welcome from Rivers people.

Godwin Obaseki has been declared winner of the Edo state governorship election, but his victory did not come as a surprise to many who followed developments in the state in the build-up to the election.

After being disqualified from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship race, Obaseki defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) w. he emerged its flagbearer and subsequently adopted a people-centred campaign.

Unlike Osagie Ize-Iyamu, his main challenger who was barely seen or heard during the campaign, Obaseki understood that in politics, as James Wilson puts it, the supreme power resides in the people.

In 2015, it was the change mantra that the APC used to end the 16-year reign of the PDP. In 2019, the “O To’Ge” movement consumed the over four decades of the Saraki political dynasty which dictated who got what in Kwara and what did the Obaseki campaign come up with in 2020? “Edo No Be Lagos”.

“Edo no be Lagos” was used as a reference to the way the powers that be in Lagos denied Akinwunmi Ambode a second term ticket. Seeing that the APC in Lagos retained power despite denying Ambode a return ticket, admirers of Obaseki in Edo warned the state APC leaders, especially Adams Oshiomhole, not to give Obaseki what they termed an “an Ambode treatment.” But the former APC national chairman would have none of it.

So, when the “Ambode treatment” was meted out on him, his supporters vowed that the governors political foes would pay the price. Apt and summative, “Edo no be Lagos” came as a warning prior to the election and spread like a wildfire on the election day.

A daring Edo resident confronted an official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who was reportedly caught trying to manipulate votes in Uronigbe south, Orhionmwan local government area.

After asking the official about his personality and background, the woman followed up tongue-lashing him: “Edo is not Lagos. Please tell them that Edo is not Lagos. Here, we decide who governs us; nobody decides for us.”

The message resonated loud and clear. No other way to prove it than in the result of the election. The PDP broke into the strongholds of the APC and secured victory.

While the campaign lasted, one issue that the two leading candidates in the election could not run away from was Oshiomhole, the man who marketed them to Edo residents at different intervals. However, the duo .ed the Oshiomhole game from, different perspectives.

While Ize-Iyamu struggled effortlessly to convince the people that he was not tied to the apron string of the former governor, Obaseki literally begged the people to assist him to dethrone a godfather.

While the people of Edo were bent on sending a message that godfatherism is gone for good, Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the APC, seemed to have added fuel to fire through the 4:53 minutes video he released in the election week. But the people responded in unison: “Edo No Be Lagos”. Now that the godfathers in Edo have been put in their place, which state is next?

Don’t allow what is going on in the world today about fake pastors and churches weaken your believe and love for God, the enemy the devil is only trying to separate you from the will and plan of  your Heavenly Father for you , The attack on the church and his  genuine prophets is targeted at you losing faith in God and his power but I tell you this, this attack won’t stop, it will get worse, protect yourself in Christ with his 

words and in prayers because the attack is on your destiny. Don’t be part of this “Woke” generation that don’t even have control of the air they breathe and make you turn your back on the one who created life itself. We only have a limited time here on earth and we will give account of the life we were given and what we did with it.So do your possible best to see that you serve God with everything in you for the rest of your life. Because it’s better to serve God in your youth than when your bones are old and weak. I gave my life to christ 17 years ago and my biggest regret is that I didn’t give it earlier than that. I have seen people that regret not serving God but I have never seen anyone that regretted serving him. He has never failed me and I know he won’t fail you too. JESUS LOVE YOU.

100 years from now will be the year 2120. By then, every single reader of this piece will be underground, our bodies having become part of the soil. During that time, our fate in respect to paradise or hell would have been made known to us.

Meanwhile above the soil, our houses that were left behind would have become either homes for others or demolished for better structures. Our clothes would have become destroyed or rags for others and replaced by more recent trends; our cars will be on display as historical artifacts by others or recycled for more advanced technology. But for us, we will be, for the most part, never thought about by anyone again. Think of it, how often do you think about your great grandfather? How often does your great grandmother cross your mind?. You see!

Our presence here on earth today, that presence that we make so much noise about and shed so many tears for, was preceded by countless generations before us and shall be followed by countless generations after us Jesus tarries. Every generation that passes through this world barely finds the time to take a glance at the world, before needing to bid it farewell and handing over the baton, having not fulfilled even a fraction of their ambitions. Our lives are, in reality, far shorter than we imagine.

In 2120, every one of us will realise from within the grave just how worthless this world actually was, and how trivial those dreams were that we centred on.
